new VF620

I'll make this short and sweet, Me and a buddy installed the VF620 on my car, after some headaches with the installation (mainly because the instructions just need to be updated) we got it done. Many thanks to Jeff Moss over at VF engineering who's customer service was top notch, and Robert who sold me the kit.
Anyway, may I say the pull is just so smooth and constant! like continually being pushed back into my seat, I really have to get used to this. Drives like stock. idles like stock no codes! Very solid kit, if you are looking at supercharging just do it VFE is a great option.

I'm interested in scing when my warranty runs dry. Can you share some more on the driving experience with the kit? Power delivery from zero and at speed? Is the car more unwieldy with all the extra power? Fuel economy change (not as important )?

Thanks.

Drive ability is unchanged if you are not boosting, I haven't mashed the gas from first yet but I imagine it to be pretty intense above 4000 rpm, I did pretty much a 3rd gear pull and it's like a consistent linear going into warp speed experience, and I haven't really noticed gas mileage at all, since i have literally only driven about 20 miles with the kit on. So, still breaking it in.

LMAO ^

I want to do the same when my warranty is up to however by then CA smog will be something like every 2 years. It makes no sense to pay someoen to remove and then put back on after smog just for 2 more years.

Maybe the idea of sell the car is good .

I know there are people out there somewhere that knows someone who knows someone but still that is a gamble.

Vf builds a great kit. Buddy of mine got the ESS kit. Another solid kit. If I'm not mistaken the hardware is the same on both ESS and vf kits of the same hp rating. Other then the tune. Interesting enough I was told I do. Not have to brake in my vf sc but the ESS kit requires a 500 km break in period and an oil change.

Well since there will supposedly be no more sniffer tests soon in CA, you should theoretically be able to get away with having anything done as long as the OBD is setup right.

Outside of the software our manifold designs are also very different along with a few other parts. We suggest putting a few hundred miles on the Vortech blower before running it hard and you are required by Vortech to change the oil in the blower after your first 2,000-2,500 miles of use. This is considered their break in period service. There is no engine break in or engine oil change that is required with our kit after installation.

Is it possible to run ESS tune on. Vf kit considering the blower is exact same ? Just a silly question

Explain this more. As I understand it the SC fails even just the visual inspection. I have been told albeit by no one I believe but as soon as they open the hood it fails.

Thanks.

Even though you can, I wouldn't. Each company makes a tune specific to their setup. Although the setups may seem similar, the tune for them would not necessarily be safe to run.

That's true even today in regards to the visual inspection. It will just depend on the operator. Unlike the sniffer, the visual is subjective to the person running the operation.

It would be easy for us to tune any supercharged M3 if we had access to the car but as a policy we do not re-tune other vendors kits. I would suggest working direct with VF for your tuning needs as they will be able to provide warranty and support of your product if needed, something im sure you would lose if a third party were to be involved with your kit.

+1 , heck might as well change your kit at that point ! If you think about it sounds your second guessing your kit and
It doesn't sound like a happy purchase ...

Good luck
