can't get my axle back to seal to x pipe

So I've had a stupid problem for about 5 months now ( just now getting around to fixing it) where no matter how tight the clamp is, My MPE will not seal to the Xpipe. It's getting annoying ( I can hear it clear as day when someone else drives my car) and I want tips on how to make it seal better...

Is it possible I need new clamps? Do they stretch? I checked TIS about change interval or recommended times the clamp can be reused and didn't find anything.

If anyone has ran into this issue before, and has tips to make it seal, let me know.

I've read about people applying red RTV on the bulged areas and on the inside of the clamp but haven't done this personally. Not sure if that actually works.
