StopTech Trophy Installed
This was a productive weekend on the E90. I completed my last major mod on her to get ready for the track. Still waiting on my rear shocks to come back with longer hoses to route into the trunk so I haven't driven it, but it sure looks good! Thanks again to Harold at HP Autowerks for all the technical support and excellent customer service! Overall, the installation was a breeze.
I'll get some better pictures when I can actually get the car out of the garage and clean it up Rear - took photo before I fixed the position of the rotor (notice that I can't put the wheel on) Front with track wheels Front and Rear with BBS wheels

I'll report back. I can't drive the car yet (rear shocks off the car). They look awesome!

I'm only doing 2 track days this year, so for now I'm going to use the RAC's since they have the best tires on them. If I really get the bug, I'll sell them and buy some 18's of some sort (which was the original plan, but couldn't resist the RAC's) I'm just going to do the stoptech street pads for now. The car did ok with the stock brakes at the track and I expect these to be much better.

Nice. You gonna paint the calipers? They kinda look lost painted in silver. Perfectly acceptable of course and looks just fine, but I wasn't sure if that's what you're going for

I really, really wanted red calipers; however, I have experienced red brembos on my E36 and the finish just doesn't last. I went with these because they are light, cheap to get parts, great reviews, and the calipers are hard anodized so the finish should never change unless some harsh chemical is used on them. I agree that they could "pop" a bit more, but in person they really look perfect on the car with the BBS wheels on.

I got the car back on the road yesterday and had a chance to bed the brakes in. I think I need to bed them in a bit more mainly for the rear but pedal feel and performance is acceptable at this point.
This car stops so fast now. Bedding procedures say to stay out of the ABS. That was really hard to do considering how hard these things clamp down causing traction issues with the front tires. I can't wait to get these on the track. This car is now as close to a perfect car as I have ever had!
