Severe axle tramp in the wet.....09 E90 M3

Hey guys,

I have found that when taking off quickly or dumping the clutch in the wet, my car has extremely violent axle tramp

The first time it happened was when I was doing a u bolt in the wet, mashed the throttle in 1st & 2nd & had to back right off as I thought the back half of the car was going to tear away It was so violent that my dash went absolutely haywire......stopped & turned the car off & back on, & all was ok but the tramp scared shit out of me as I didn't expect it with such a well engineered car.....

In the dry it's not too bad but still detectable.....

Anyone else have/had this problem & will BMW rectify it?

I assume you mean wheel hop? Under certain conditions this can happen...if you have EDC and have it set on the soft comfort setting it's more likely to happen.

Thanks mate......no EDC.

Should it be so violent though?......it does happen all the time in the wet! It is very frustrating as I do like having a bit of fun in the wet but alas........I cant without taking a trip to the dentist the next day
