Do 4 Wheels and BFG R1s fit in my E92 back seat?

Does anyone have any experience with this? I have an E92. Sizes are 275/35/18 mounted on Apex Arc-8 18x10.

I picked up the tires today and was able to fit all 4 in the back but I am not sure about whether they will fit mounted on the wheels. I am having them mounted and balanced tomorrow but if they won't fit I will exchange them for something I can drive to the track.

Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.

Shouldn't be any different mounted, 10's are neutral on most 275's

I normally do 3 across and one in the trunk

Yeah I could put one in the trunk, but I guess I was thinking my trunk is already so full I'd need to get them in the back. Guess I need to travel lighter.

I have had my staggered Volks 4 across with 265/35/18 and 285/35/18 but I wasn't sure with the R1s since they seem to run wide.

This is with backseats folded down or kept up?

They won't fit with the seats folded down. I tried.

Yes, you can most definitely do this! I get 4 across the back vertically with seats normal, kinda snug but just channel your inner jigsaw-puzzle-self, no prob. It saves the trunk for jack, tool box, cooler, tent, yada yada. Tire totes plus an old mover's blanket help keep interior brake dust free. The Porsche guys get jealous when you drive up and spill out all your "haul" out of your daily driver all over the paddock and set up camp---cause they can't! (unless they trailer, of course, but that's cheating and defeats the purpose).

Yeah, seats normal so you can see over the tires through your rear view mirror.

If you remove your rear seats you can stack them the other way and get 6 back there.........

Removing the seats is a good idea. Plus you save weight.

So are you saying you can stack them sideways rather than keeping them upright?

Yes a movers blanket is a good idea as well. I was thinking about getting one.

You can't be serious? I've gotten 8 wheels with tires mounted + 1 tire + track stuff in my E46 which has fixed sweats. I've gotten 8 tires in my E90.

With the rear seat bottom out, you can get 6 tires in the back seat.

Just takes a little sweat and some curse words.

not very the bottom just pops out the backing needs to be taken apart in the center at the bottom where they fasten together.

I got the tires mounted and balanced today and everything fits fine in the back seat. Well, I guess that depends on your definition of "fine". Off to Lime Rock in the a.m.

Do you know if removal is as easy in the E92? I tried lifting on the front part of the seat bottom and it didn't feel like it was going to move. I didn't want to force it so I didn't go any further.

yes there are clips it goes into. just grab the lower portion along the floor by the corner and one good yank.

I stack them this way, and it gives a bit more seat room.

I used to place the tires that way in my E90, 'til lots of ~1.5" slits/cuts started developing on the nylon tire totes. The wheel lips rubbing against each other were making cuts on the tire tote nylon.

So then, I switched to configuration similar to this (2 on 2, facing forward), except facing up, and each tire/wheel protected from each other w/ movers blankets.

And then, slid EZ-Up across the top of the tires. Man, I miss E90...

Yeah, there are 2 clips, each approximately where between-legs are. Just grab the bottom of the front edge of the seat and pull up.
