site is working better, looks like they were up all night fixing stuff, but still not done. You have to go in under the M at the top, and then across to the M3 sedan or M3 coupe. Only the build your own section is working now, and as previous posters have said, no GGT, no lease (no model found for supplied model code) and no destination.

This is weird... why does the sedan but not the coupe have Real Time Traffic Control?

Thanks for the post. I guess they are still fixing the site. It should work better by monday, I guess. I hope the M-DCT option shows up.

Interesting notes from the standard specs on the coupe.
M-style alloy wheels (Style 219M),18 x 8.5 front -Definately different than the style 260 already released. Can we get a f'n picture??Power front/rear windows with "one-touch" up/down operation -This seems to keep coming up. Another copy and paste error from the sedan specs?Adjustable front armrest -This is on both sedan and coupe. Sounds like the split armrest.

The M3 is not avaible at the moment on bmwusa.
A little hint: check out www.bmw.de to configurate the m3 and get some perspectives (the buttons are on the same positions, they are just in german, dont mind that ) Hammer Last edited by Hammer; 07-13-2008 at 07:09 AM.. |

The site has a couple of issues still but, the bigger issue to me is that, as a marketer, I have to say that this would appear to be one of the most lack-luster launches of a flag ship product (or is that the 7 series?) I have ever seen...into the biggest market in the world no less. Makes the car no less desireable to me but, it is interesting.
Perhaps the car mags and websites will start to get primed over the next few weeks. However what does it matter when your product is so anticipated that it is facing production delays already and you have barely begun to advertise the product (in the U.S.)? Rant finished.... |

Also the delays are related to the 19in wheels, BMW marketed those wheels so well that just about everyone wants them.
