It's pretty close at this point lol. A V6 Mustang would probably take you.

Not quite, my E46 M3 still runs hard. I beat a 370Z by about two bus lengths yesterday on about a 1/4 mile.

We were talking at the light admiring each others cars, no one was around so we decided to go for it. Yes he was racing.

As far as mods go, I have an under drive pulley and a fan delete engine wise. Not much. Oddly enough when I removed the fan for more power under load, it made a pretty big difference immediately.

Second gear really separated us. Plus he's got a manual and I have SMG.

Agreed. Both cars sit at 333hp, but mine is about 9 years older which takes a toll.

Didn't talk to him afterwards, who knows.

Ok so I'm closing in on finalizing this thing. Now on to the modding discussion!

The car comes 220M OEM wheels. This must change. I've decided on Avant Garde M359's as an inexpensive way to achieve the ZCP look I love. My current E46 M3 has the silver ones and I love them.

However, this new E92 is Alpine White with black grille, gillls, diffuser, lip, tinted windows, etc. So I'm thinking of going with the matte black to keep the theme.

Thoughts? Avant Garde M359 in hyper silver or matte black?

Yes he finally got back to me. We spoke by phone for a bit, I agreed to 34.5k but there's some competition to purchase but he's trying to get the other guy to back out.

We'll see what happens though, it's all up in the air at this point but I've just got a carfax on it and it's clean and well maintained at the dealer. Next is a PPI at the dealership if this works.

Hyper silver 1
Matte black 0

Need more opinions!

Hope the purchase works out for you. The e9x market in Seattle seems to command higher prices than the rest of the country. There aren't a lot of them for sale at any one time, and the demand is high.

I just switched from silver AG359's i had for a year.. I got tired from the OEM look and wanted something more unique.

Also IMO, matte black cheapens the look on these cars. Gloss black is where it's at. With as much brake dust as our cars put out, your matte black wheels are going to look pretty ratty unless you clean them every few days.

Also I highly recommend swift springs. You're welcome to ride in my car to check them out.

Thanks man, I think it will work out. I agree about the Seattle market, it's a competition around here to buy anything. I hear ya about the non OEM/ZCP look but I can't really find anything I like better than them. The silvers are just classy and sexy to me. With the alpine white/black theme, I like what I see from pics on google of others cars with matte black but silver is also very classy looking. Maybe more "adult" and less kid racey look.

They don't make a gloss black, only matte black and the silver.

Good points about the brake dust, etc. Black is always harder to keep clean, something to consider.

Good input, thanks!

I'd get a set of APEX wheels instead. Stronger and lighter

Don't get avant garde. Just buy some GTS ZCP rims for $600 more, and you might be able to get them with tires from someone on here. They are better quality.

Also make sure you get black lol. Silver is ok I guess but I like the black.

Or you can get a diff wheel altogether. I got some Forgestar SDCs in matte black and love them. Much more aggressive stance and don't need spacers etc. Wider too for wider tires.
