Yeah. That's a good site to look at. You can speak to Gary he's a pretty cool person. Thats where I bought my lotus, which didn't have any damage. Apparently the owner had done a fraud with the isurance to get paid.

Believe it or not (remember, we started the project a while before starting the thread), we should be racing in the Spring this year.

Other than thanking Scott for letting me be on his team, I’d like to add a few words of thanks to some other folks that made this project possible.

HP Autowerks www.hpautowerks.com has been a big help. Harold helped us with the rear subframe bushing install and helped us with a lot of solid general knowledge about the suspension on the E90. Harold really knows his stuff.

We got the car from Auto Kennel www.autokennel.com Paul Kramer (owner) has been a Porsche and BMW enthusiast for years. A client of Paul’s from Chile actually found this can and asked Paul to help him ship it to Santiago. Between Chile’s government and ours they didn’t let it happen. With Paul’s help, we stepped in and got the car.

Regarding the frame straightening... We took the car to a frame shop to have it checked. After putting it on the jig they determined the suspension pickup points were within factory specs. The aft frame rails leading to the rear bumper were off. In the end, the car is now straighter than what you’d get from the factory and the doors and trunk all open/close and fit perfect.

After testing the Maxxis RC last spring at Willow Springs, the tire was consistently fast than the Nitto NT01. The tire appears very similar to the Kuhmo V710 and the Hankook Z214. In selecting a compound for the tire, after testing they are going with a medium compound similar to Kuhmo and Hankook.

Our first race will be at the San Diego Chapter Driving School & Club Race weekend at Chuckwalla Raceway weekend of March 17-18. This will be one of the biggest club races of the season here on the west coast. The instruction is top notch regardless of your driving experience. They will have the A-Plus program as well to challenge even seasoned track junkies.

We will be sharing suspension and tire testing info so stay tuned for an exciting year!
