*smh* I hope you're never in a situation one day in which you need a jump and someone tells you, "Sorry bud, the electrical systems are very susceptible to voltage fluctuations, so I can't help you."

It's a car. Just like every other car. It has dedicated places under the hood to do exactly this (jump, take a jump). You're feeding the stereotype....

They wouldn't have to ask. If I see them having trouble I would see if I can help. I carry jumper cables so I can.

We live in a world with other people...

To those who wouldn't, im assuming you were born into money? Always fed from a silver spoon, too good to help others? Its a car. We all belong to this forum because we love our cars. But turning someone down because you drive a nicer car is insane. There was a time i drove a car that was barely running. I'm no stranger to being stuck with a dead battery in a parking lot. Follow the golden rule douchebags.

A "BEATER" Honda Accord? Does jump starting a dead battery harm "OUR" cars?

WTF? You are a dick. And no... Jump starting a car will not hurt your precious battery if you do it correctly. Believe it or not, your battery won't get damaged by a "BEATER" car anymore than it wouldn't from jumping a Ferrari. A battery is a battery. Next time you should help people whether their car sucks or not.

Two years ago I used my E93 to jump a very old, post WW II red Jeep. No harm done. Felt great to be able to help someone in need. I always carry a jump cable

I always carry jumper cables for this exact reason. You never know when somebody (including yourself) might need some help.

Actually you can't just jump a Ferarri....at least on the old 360's you'll short out the instrument cluster and its a $3000 fix plus shipping to NJ. I used to work in a high line garage and a customer did exactly that...after we told him not to and even gave him a trickle charger for the winter months. It happened once it got warm out and he NEEDED to drive the car....some people can't wait 4 hours, or set shit up the night before.

Yeah, co-ordinating +/- symbols together w/ your cables can be extremely difficult. As a matter of fact nuclear physics students must pass this grueling task before getting their PhD designation.

As I said I was in a hurry to get to a VERY IMPORTANT work related meeting. My job is what pays for my car and everything else. So if doing my job first makes me a dick the yes I am a dick. And I dont feel one bit bad about it. Life is all about priorities people. Get a life TS.
