I thought one of the major reasons why the iphone didn't go to Verizon was because they wanted to control the app store themselves. I don't know what has changed that would make them now more accommodating.

The only thing confirmed to being built is the iPhone 4G, anything about it coming to Verizon is purely speculation.

I just switched to sprint over the weekend since they're new plan with unlimited data, txt messages, nights & weekends, moblie to mobile, and 450 anytime minutes for $69.99 a month. After I factor in the discount I get from my company I'm looking at $52 before taxes. I got the HTC hero.

Sweet deal that can't be beat. Service hasn't been that bad either so far.

Hopefully they switch the iphone over. AT&T will then get crushed by Verizon. The iPhone is all AT&T has. Verizon's service is much better, IMO.

would be nice! everything is speculation at this point. ive also heard it could be the iPhone HD...its getting an upgraded OLED screen.

I doubt AT&T will roll out their 4G network. They are finally planning to roll out 7.2mbps. I say another 2-3 years for 4G.

This would be correct.

They are actually slated to be last to overhaul their network.

It's not opinion, but fact. Verizon has the most coverage in the US by a wide margin. I know people with AT&T who get calls dropped in midtown Manhattan. It's atrocious.

Nope. Only ATT can do that and it's unfortunately a feauture I use often on my BB (meaning I'd struggle to switch).

ATT is testing 4G coverage this year and hoping to start deploying it in 2011.
