Congrats! I'm about to pull the trigger on my order too but the not particularly attractive residuals and the MFs are making it a harder decision than I had wanted...

Whoops, I went manual. I have DSG on my GTI and frankly, it's boring the snot out of me. I did test drive an M-DCT and it was nice but I want to go back to a manual. Right now I actually prefer driving my wife's Wrangler because it's a manual... How sad is that?

Yeah, I'm thinking the same thing. I won't be able to use it for 2+ years but I'm hoping I can just not activate it until I get back to the States and start my year then.

Bring clothes for rain. It doesn't get all that warm here (when it gets into the 80s people start talking about heat waves, lol) but it rains all the time. Having said that it's a great time of year for driving.

I'm thinking mines gonna be delayed longer then the expected 18Feb delivery date since the shipping process is just now starting to roll; right during the holidays

Yeah, not having to wait for a boat and the possible 53 days ship time (again) definitely speeds the process up.

Got my bill of sale from pentagon so I can register the car tomorrow and then pick it up Monday or Tuesday. Is it sad that I'll be in Paris this weekend with my family and not really be thinking about the city????
