please guys,

lets not make this a thread about DD's and supposed software updates or gintani's "so-called" tunes.

please make another thread if you really feel like discussing that

just not here...

thanks for understanding

I would imagine that the correction factors were changed when the software was updated. Don't let drama queens rain on your parade .

yes! Ez-flash is great. The unit stores 2 maps that you can toggle between. You have the ability to store more maps on your computer and then you can just drag and drop the selected tunes on to the ez-flash unit. Very simple and handy tool.

Nice! I think I may go with that...I'd like to do an actual OE tune but I don't want to ruin my warranty. My deal is not very fond of an MODs

Can I still get the same power gains with the EZ Flash

Yes, you can have your flash and your stock file on the ez flash or you could do something like a valet mode.

Yes power will be same if you tuned your car without using the unit. Ez-flash was designed for peace of mind for those who have sticklers for dealerships. The Ez-Flash unit only stores 2 maps. If you have any other maps like a race gas or track map, you can store those on your laptop or home pc and load them into the Ez-Flash just like a memory stick. It doesn't increase your power. Its the magic that is stored on the unit that does

I was going to say those numbers look pretty low too. Did you ever dyno car before the tune? What were the gains from stock? The numbers you got with your tune are the same numbers I got stock but you can't really compare numbers across different dynos so seeing a dyno of your car in stock form would be the only way to tell how much HP and TQ you gained.

Trust me, 325whp on this dyno makes for a very fast bolt-on car .

"Trust me" ....that's your evidence/explanation/insight?
How did you accomplish 403 whp (as in your sig) with bolt ons at the same dyno with the same tuner ...and this guy is at 330 whp?

I would suggest that there are other factors at play. I would suggest that the workshop call us so we can diagnose if there are any problems

I suppose I should just contact DD ...but .... would the corrections that were in place before the firmware affect and/or need re-calibration after the firmware update?

How is this possible - that Gintani's DD was reading higher before (see powertrips 403 whp) and now reads substantially lower? What could be some of the factors that attribute to this?

Who said it was the same dyno? My car made 360ish on Gintani's dyno; the 402whp was made on a Dynapack (the same one JonMartin hit 405 on).

That's interesting - so your 402 on a DP reads 360 on a DD?

So you got 30whp more then OP from catless? ... or do you think it has something to do with the firmware (meaning your 402 would read lower then 360 on Gintani's current DD)?

My 360whp run was on their current up to date firmware.

My catless exhaust certainly flows better, but it's much louder as well. I also have a pulley which is good for 5-10whp in difference. The rest can probably be explained by fuel quality, wheel weight differences, and perhaps one car being strapped tighter than other.

^ whatsup jamie, I was die hard on getting the blower for my car - literally to the point where I was speaking with IND about which kit to opt for, and having the ESS tuner flown out to IND to have the DCT software programmed on my car for the 625...then I got busy with some other stuff and didnt pay attention to the car for a while; but after was all said and done I went back to it and did alot of cosmetic stuff....and honestly right now I decided just to keep it naturally aspirated for a while, and then in the future put a blower on it....I figure if I want crazy power I can use the Z06, but your car literally had me seconds away from pulling the trigger on the blower.....its definetly the single hottest E92 out there man!

I figure ill see how far I can go n/a, and then when I get bored ill throw the blower on !
