Talking M3 + Ed + Pcd =

On the 20th of November I ordered the following car for European Delivery!

Interlagos Blue Metallic
Bamboo Beige
Carbon Leather Trim
Competition Package
Convenience Package
Premium Package 2
Cold Weather package
M-Dual Clutch Transmission
Moon roof
Auto High Beams
Satellite radio

As far as the date of pick up in Munich, the CA is expecting to hear back from BMW-ED to confirm March 18, 21 or 25, 2011. My CA seems a bit inexperienced when it comes to ED so in the next couple months I may have to call BMW directly to confirm paperwork/passports and stuff are all taken care of.

In addition to European Delivery, I will be doing the Performance Center Delivery as well when it returns. Really trying to get the most out of the BMW experience the second time around!

I'm usually on Bimmerfest(dare i mention another forum's name) but you guys have alot more action in the M3 forums then they do so I may be sticking around here more often!

we drove that exact color combo in an e90 when i was looking a couple of months ago. loved the interior color, my favorite of all the colors i have seen. my wife thought the blue was too 'bright' so we passed, but i'm sure you will love it!

Give Adrian a shout at BMW s Atlanta. If you are doing an Ed and pcd then you can use any dealer in the country. He did my Ed/pcd and it was flawless...also included coordination with a m school at the pc during redelivery. Ill tell you though even with an experienced ca you still have to really stay on top of things. Good luck and congrats.

I too planned for ED + PCD way back in 2008 but the wait was too long. I was not able to wait for the additional 1 month if you want a PCD. Knowing that your car is already here in mainland US but still has to wait for your PCD schedule. But I am sure you will enjoy both programs. Enjoy your trip.

I got mine quicker by flying out, doing a pcd and driving home versus waiting for shipping to the Midwest.

Congrats! Great color combo.

E90 or E92? Either way, if you still have time then I'd suggest removing the moon roof. Just my 2 cents...

Thanks Guys!

The wait is driving me nuts already! I originally ordered the car without the competition package and auto high beams on 11/20 and decided on 11/27 that I NEEDED to update my order; that if I was buying nearly $70K I should be 100% happy with 0 regrets. I don't need or intend to use auto high beams but for $230(ED) it will be something i might as well have now that the msrp is over 70k

Thats also the reason for the sunroof; I prefer driving with the windows down in the spring and summer than AC and with the sound of the V8 I'm sure I'll have the windows down in the fall and winter too! +40Lbs, less head room was a sacrifice I'd have to make for usability; plus I wasn't getting the awesome CF roof so I figured since I'd have a plain roof I might as well fill it with some glass!

I forgot that I never setup my signature here and only have it on Bimmerfest, but it will be an E90 if you couldn't tell already! I've never even considered the coupe as I'm not a fan of the rear on the coupe(no offense E92 owners). The sedan, for me; is the best of both worlds. The front of a coupe, rear of sedan and 1 friggin awesome car no matter what it is!

My E90 335i was great, only had 1 HPFP replaced at about 7500 miles and swapped a lease 10/18/10 and its been rough without her. Been driving the wifes G37x for the time being...

Specs on my old car:
2008 335i Sedan, Sapphire Black, Black Dakota, Dark Burl Walnut, Premium Package, Sport Package, Cold Weather Package, Navigation System, iPod / USB

The wait for ED is going to be horrible and then the c0ck tease of having it for a week and then not seeing it for a month and half is going to be killer. It will be hella nice to pick it up in Spring and drive it up from SC to VA Beach then back home to Long Island!

BTW, I did reach out to Adrian and he gave me an awesome deal on the car. My local deal was able to beat his which was amazing I feel like I'm stealing the car from them! I did not want to go back and forth trying to fight on prices as the car is pretty much sold at cost.

Anyways, thanks again!

I attended the M School last year. All day in the M3 Sedan, M5, and M6. Hands-down the M3 Sedan was more fun on the track. Congrats!

Regards,

David

Yeah. Much more action here for ///M.

I'm not sure what's going on yet. But this is my busiest time of the year for work, so I'm not thinking about it too much. May just wait till after the new year.

Thanks again! I'm friggin stoked and reading all the ED and PCD reviews and youtube clips, I'm pretty sure I'll have stupid grin on my face for weeks afterwards!

I called BMW ED since my CA never confirmed a date with me and they also confirmed my options which really put me at ease after the dumb Owners Circle doesn't update regularly. Why it doesn't update instantly or atleast same day is beyond me. We do 5000 trades every second and everything is accounted for within a tolerance of 3 seconds. That is way more transactions in a day than BMWs entire yearly production. Maybe they need to hire me to manage the back end. :insert joke here:
