Car sat for three weeks and now DSC Malfunction Warning

Just bought my 2008 E92 two months ago, and went on vacation for three weeks across the U.S. Just got home this morning.

Car started fine, but my radio presets were gone, and now I'm getting DSC Malfunction, as well as the other complimentary lights on my Dashboard. I've read that it's probably a steering sensor going bad, but the car sat in a garage for three weeks, I can't help but think it's battery related as it's been casually driven and babied it's entire existence.

Thoughts on how to avoid dealership $$$?

Are you on the original battery? If so I would say about time to replace or use a battery maintainer when you let the car sit for a wile. Chances are battery just got to low and the car reset. Random lights are generally a sign of a battery going.

If it sat for 3 weeks battery is low and just needs to charge back up some. Long drove and couple key cycles and should cure gremlins

I checked the battery and it's reading 12.6V which I've read is the bottom end of 'healthy'. I'm hoping to give her a long drive this weekend and praying it goes away.

did about an hour of driving tonight, error came back. Sometimes I start the car and the errors pop up, and sometimes they don't.

So tonight I put the battery on trickle charge, hoping tomorrow it'll be solved. We'll see.
