New mod - Macht Schnell Stage 2 Intake
Been a while since I do anything new to my car. What I enjoy most is DIY some of the stuff that I can do in my garage. Grills, stickers etc lol
I received my Macht Schnell Intake Stage 2 and was going to a shop to have it installed by the pro. But after opening the box, there was an instructional booket with all the steps and pictures etc. After a few pages, I decided to give it a try at home by myself. The whole process took me around 30 mins. I was surprised because when I installed my RPi Scoops, that took me almost an hour (you will find out why once you are installing the MS scoops) |

It looks like you have the old clamps pictured, as the current kits use euro-type clamps (like OEM) and aren't as long as the ones you have.

Do any intake error codes show with this intake?
How do you like the system? Feel the difference? |

Tom, Does the Macht Schnell Stage 1 (air filter & scoops) aid in any power gains or do you have to get the Stage 2? I see the added piece is the charge pipe...

S1 is good for those looking for a quick drop-in solution, S2 is where business really happens as the charge pipe (and filter base) are opened up significantly.

I absolutely love this kit. The powerband comes in noticeably sooner! It maintains the clean OEM look and I have gotten many compliments on the fit and finish of the charge pipe.

+1 def fits perfectly and maintain an OEM look, a good way to stay low key under the hood if you have a flashy car...

After the install; do you have to disconnect power to the battery to reset the memory in the ECU so it will adjust to the additional air flow sensed by the MAF?

There is no MAF present on S65, simply install and go!
