Question re: Eisenmann Sport VS Race
Like many of you, I find stock exhaust notes to be too quiet, hence I am looking into getting an Eisenmann alternative.
Few questions: 1) Vendor states Sport version retains the same volume level as stock, only with a different note. In other words, it isn't any louder than stock. Race on other hand presents a noticable increase in the level of noise. Is this true? 2) Is it worth it to get the connecting pipes? 3) Will the Eisenmann exhauste + connecting pipes void my warranty? Or is the old saying "unless they can prove the issue is caused by the aftermarket part, they must honour the warranty"? |

To help, car is a daily driver and I'm over 25-years old LOL.
I WAS going to get the Sport version, until the vendor suggested Sport isn't any louder than stock. Hence I want to get people's opinion here-------is it louder than stock? |

Race is much louder than sport. You can't use the Eisenmann without some sort of connecting pipes. I'm sure whomever told you that the sport wasn't louder than stock was mistaken.

I don't know how other than if you already have a Sport let's say and want to get a Race, then you wouldn't need another set of connecting pipes. Otherwise unless you plan on cutting up your stock exhaust and somehow adapting it, there's really no other way that I'm aware of.

I've shopped these two exhausts as well. The Sport is the same volume as the stock under essentially all conditions, but my understanding is that there is a great improvement in tone. |

No experience with either but judging by reviews on this site the race version will be MUCH louder than stock and drone considerably in the cabin. Im sure it sounds incredible but if you can't live with drone than steer clear.

RE: connecting pipes, they are optional...if you don't get connecting pipes you will have to cut the oem pipes to install the ES or ER...
it's hard to really comment about "loudenss" as it's so subjective IMO...best bet is to try and hear one for yourself in person...good luck..

Eisenmann race sounds amazing but is crazy loud. I think you should get the sport unless you're cool with being very loud at all times. I drove a E92 M3 with Eisenmann Race and an x pipe and it was louder than my E36 racecar with no muffler, no joke (but the E92 sounded so much better ).
FWIW my ears were literally ringing after 3 hours of highway driving with the ER and x pipe. |
