usb video format
Hey guys,
quick search didn't show me anything concrete. I did the dvd in motion coded through alex@alpine and so far nothing seems to be reading on the multimedia screen (moving or not, park or drive). USB in the front or glove box. FAT32. Does the drive have to be empty with JUST the movies? Or has to be in folders? File formats? Thanks. |

Umm. Can you play movies from a USB media source? First I've ever heard of this!! If yes, what format / container must they be in? I thought it only supported DVD video or video from an iPod Touch / iPhone 4 with the proper snap-in adapter?

My understanding is that DVDinMotion coding allows you to put a DVD in (like you would on any other DVD player) and watch it... You can't have video files on a disk or USB drive. Though that would be great!

You have to create a DVD from an authoring software. There are several DVD making software available (PC/Mac) which let you import MP4, Avi, Mov, etc. Saving video files on a DVD-R is not the same as creating a DVD! A ripped DVD should work.
