I know this has been beat to death

BUT........... I am not interested in painting my calipers myself, and have no reason to invest 10k into a BB kit, but I want the clean look of caliper covers. I do not want to "fake the funk" and be a "poser" by putting on the nice looking Brembo covers......... so where can I find nice looking covers that either say BMW or M3??

Seriously I have looked everywhere I could think to.

You can find them at the following sites:

www.fakeBOV.com

www.fakebadges.com

www.big-ass-useless-wings.com

I purchased my faux intercooler and BOV speaker system with integrated turbo sound at www.fakeBOV.com.

They also sell a $45 resisitor that gives you an extra 100Hp.

I'm just messing with you! I have seen no-name caliper covers on ebay...you should try there if you haven't already.

However, I highly reccomend against putting caliper covers on you beautiful, $60k+ performance machine.

Painting them may not be a bad idea considering the alternative. There are a few members on this forum who have painted their calipers and they look pretty good.

LOL! Maybe I should reserve the other domains and start pushing fake parts

I hope you re-think the whole caliper cover things.

There is a member on this forum who painted his calipers white and added an ///M logo...it looked pretty sweet. I'll try looking for it.

Yeah....when I saw the calipers painted with the logo, I thought it looked great! Just make sure you get it professionally done..probably less than $500.

Our stock calipers are so ugly. They sure do their job though.

I am looking to get mine painted as well and adding decals under the clear coat. This is a pretty easy DIY, but I want to find a shop to do it professionally. Anyone know of a shop that can do this in socal?

How long do you think it would last? With heat and weather issues. calipers usually take a beating. I would be mad if I spent 500+ dollars to have this done just to have it look like shit in 6 months or a year.

Well, for track use, they probably will not last too long as the caliper temp may exceed the tolerance of the high-temp paint (maybe).

For regular, day-to-day use, it may last for as long as you own the car assuming it is done correctly.

You should PM one of the owners whos pictures I linked to above and ask thim how the paint is holding up. Let us know what they say.

Also, you can opt to have them powdercoated for about the same price. You just need to remove them and bring them in to your local powdercoating shop.
