The flashing of the lights and honking of the horn (that is just stupid, how would it know what direction it came from... plus how would it be distict form other traffic, all horns sound different) does not change anything.

On my old GTI there was one of the headlight beams that was a bit higher than the other and this would happen often. I kept asking myself "why are people flashing their dang high beams at me?" I think people thought I still had my high beams on when in reality the stray beam was shooting them in the face, not the high beams. Maybe you were parked on a slight upward incline which made it appear to him that your high beams were on?

Biography

Charles Adler, Jr. (1899-1980), a professional engineer and inventor was a life-long resident of Baltimore, Maryland. He began his career as an inventor at 14, receiving a patent on an electric automotive brake.
