I ordered from Covers For You.
I got the UVS 100 Heat Shield for $43.31. Was the cheapest around I found from the authorized retailers for Covercraft. You can also get the roll-type sunshield for $26.99. I used the 2008 335i as my selector car. Picked one up for the Maxima too. Was using an old crummy cardboard one.

FWIW, OEM sunshade for the E90 has held up for me for 2 years now with mostly daily use (I park outside). Fit is great and it is sturdy. I haven't had any quality issues. I wish it didn't say "BMW" in big letters on it because that seems a little much, but it works well.
You can see it in these photos from my e90post garage: http://www.m3post.com/forums/e90garageimg/966/temp9.jpg http://www.m3post.com/forums/e90garageimg/966/temp8.jpg

i think it changed from E46 to E90. i've had mine for about a year, it's thick it's not wearing out and blocks heat big time. the one that says BMW on it
took me forever to find this thread. google saved my ass my question is: do any of these covers scratch or put marks on the car's paint at all?? and what's the advantage/disadvantage of OEM vs. calcover? fitment, material, what's ur experiences? do u regret either? |

No. I don't even know what that is? Is it to make it visible at night? If it is, my car has an assigned spot, and visibility is not an issue.

As for sunshade, I purchased one through Autosport and it fits great and the quality is 1st class. Material - OEM covers are Noah. It does a good job, but it is lightweight and can be tough to handle in a wind. I previously had a car cover in Evolution, which is equally as good, more heavyweight material, so it does not blow around quite so much when trying to fold it up and it does a better job of protecting against dings. |

Just received the OEM car cover for e90-92-93 (code 82 15 0 397 888) and after 2 patient trials I have to say it does NOT fit. Do I have to over strech the tissue? The zipper (at the left rear corner) is not closeable whatever the amount of tissue I give to the front.
To me it is just as the wideness of the M3 is too big for that cover. The idea to start from the windscreen with a succion device is good and the quality seems as it should be. The leash designed to trapped in the trunk as a anti theft device makes sense. BUT as long as the front marks for the headlight are half way on the bonnet and the rear does not fit and closes make it an useless cover. Such a shame to explain this to the nice family member who ordered it from germany. Anybody has something to share about this (except to say I have to change it) |
