Correct, as far as we know here on the forum, replacing the fluid with the correct DCT fluid is ok. The problem is, is that the correct DCT fluid is not available through the BMW parts system and it must be special ordered from Germany. No dealer will have it in stock.

I took mine in today for the 1200 mile service. They did NOT change the fluid.

All is good and the drive home from the dealer was a lot of fun, what a beast.

I cant believe the jackasses here in Singapore changed my tranny liquid! When i sat in the car just about to drive out, i rechecked my invoice and was shocked to see the gearbox oil was replaced. I am not sure if any damage has been done but i have not driven it at all from the dealership. They checked and they will be replacing it with the special fluid. I am not sure if this has caused any damage. They said they wud flush the system a coupe of times before replacing it with the right one. Someone pls help!!!

If they test drove your car after the service (most probably did) then I think you need to address the issue to the Service Manager AND BMW HQ.
