Nope. Unlike cars the fold the mirrors automatically upon locking, the window fold on the M3 is manual (button by the mirror adjuster) fold and unfold.

No reason for this. Just take the M3 to the dealer and ask them to do the relevant coding to allow folding of mirrors whilst holding down the midle button on the FOB.

I have a '10 E90, and yes they manually fold. I know because I have to every day to fit into my spot (it is VERY narrow).

Yikes what a PITA. If there were ever a compelling reason for ZPP (or the remoteKEY aftermarket mod mentioned above), then surely that is it.

Agreed, I am really kicking myself in the butt for skimping on that option. And I'm even more grateful that I didn't skimp on PDC/I-drive .

On the plus side, I now consider myself a master M3 parker.

Mine does it. Hold the lock button down on the key, mirrors fold up. Hold your thumb on the CA door handle, mirrors fold up. Unlock with the key, they fold down. Unlock with the CA door handle, they fold down.

Wash the car with the key in my pocket, the car is possessed. Doors locking and unlocking, mirrors folding and un folding; it's crazy.

You can if you have CA.

What you cannot do is open close the top while moving (even at a very slow speed). In addition you have to hold the button for the whole process while with smart-top you just hold for three seconds. Also, with the factory option, the windows annoyingly go up after the top goes down. With smart-top, they go down.

And what did you add to the car to have it automatically fold the mirrors in and out?

The install is pretty easy as far as complexity. However, it is a bit difficult just because you have to remove so much stuff. Very doable though.

My mistake, only does it with an extended CA lock and unlock. Doesn't work by the key.

But you guys already knew that.

What do you mean by an extended CA lock and unlock?

An enthusiast forum, and we're talking about coding mirrors to fold?
