New to M3...today picking it up!!!

Hey guys..first post..hopefully going to pick up my 12 M3 cpe today..if they have it ready..got the car with all the options i wanted, however i did have to settle for a sunroof..but hopefully that will not damper my mood.

Any break in tips..i see that there is a wide variety of opinions..i will try to stay in the bmw guidelines..but i know if will exceed those ever so often..

Also i got bmw apps..what is this..can we get the weather through this app?

Will post some pics when i get her!!!

No, you can't get weather through BMW Apps. You can get that kind of stuff through the Convenience Plan, but that costs $$ per year.

Basically, if you're using an iPhone, you'll have access to Facebook, Twitter, and enhanced interfaces for Pandora, iPod and MOG, especially if you use the optional Media Cradle ($250).

Don't baby it and don't over-rev it. Drive it a lot and get that darned break-in period over with. It then becomes a different car.

Sunroof? May as well have purchased an Accord or C63 (I can't tell the differance)!

Thanks for all the comments and here are a couple of pics..i couldn't believe how well this cars looked when I picked it up yesterday. Want be able to know how great this car is until 1,200 miles..argh..but handling is incredible.

Also did any of you get the BMW Apps and the Iphone cradle (not sure it is worth the $240) May take it back today. That seems like alot of money for something you could use a USB cord for.

Again thank for all you comments and will let you know how the break-in is going.

Congrats OP. As for BMW Apps, it does work through a regular USB cord and you can also stream your Pandora or MOG through the Bluetooth. Just an FYI.

Congrats. I drive nearly the identical car around Atlanta. I highly recommend taking it up to North Georgia where the roads are twisty and empty. That's where it sings.
