Swamp2s SG/FR E92 M-DCT pics

As E said, Saturday afternoon snappin'. I wanted these for myself and really would not have bothered posting them as once you have seen one you have kind of seen them all (unless modded). However, I got a lot of request so I am finally obliging.

Thanks to Premier for a full frontal clear bra (invisible, eh?). They did very nice work.

Also note the checkered flag icon for M-DCT launch control.

Nice car/pics!!

I don't mean to thread jack, but do you mind sharing what the "base" RPMs are for Launch Control? i.e. what are the RPMs when you engage LC and hit the gas before you make any adjustments with the cruise control stalk (or release the brakes!!)?

great pics
can you get a shot of the m-dct trans?
or is it hidden behind something?
i'm assuming it doesn't have stainless steel brake lines?

Swamp,

Good work Mate. Nice looking ride. It looks like a fancy snantzy BMW or something. You know Swamp, Pic 14 really shows you live a charmed life. Best wishes.

Thanks for all the comments fella's.

@JEllis: I would recommend Premier but they come down mobile style from the Bay area. As well they are pricey. I looked at a lot of crap before committing to spend this kind of $. Go look at the crap work the fellow who has an exclusive at OC Ferarri/Maserarti does and you'll see. Get em scheduled well before your pick up time.

@Davinchi: Indeed it is gone, it is blue. The dealer left it on surprisingly.

@rmmcdaniel: It is pretty high 5500 I think. I didn't pay close enough attention as I did not actually drop the lever and use LC.

@Keto: OEM BMW pedals. Better looking that a lot of the tuner brands IMHO. Nice design and nice finishing, replaceable rubber inserts and top notch hardware.

@man02195: You read my mind. I really wanted a couple shots of it but it is just about totally covered. Covered on the underside with the strange furry/astroturf like stuff that is just under the front bumper cover. Might be able to get a decent peek on a lift but doubtful. I'm totally puzzled by this strange material. Anyone know why it was chosen? You can see the brake lines and they are not stainless steel.

@bobbo: Full frontal = full hood, full bumper, full fenders and mirrors. Overkill on the hood but I could not stand the dirty wax collecting edge in the middle of the hood.

@ruff: It is different. But the parks, mountains and national monuments of Utah are equally impressive IMO.

swamp,

The car looks a picture and some nice shots of both the underside and the roof, it's a nice combination the silver inlay with the Fox Red. I too have concerned Space Grey, mainly because it's closest in look and colour to the concept but all the ones I have seen in person have had 19" alloys, not the one which I will be specing myself. Though everyone on the site say it's the best colour to see the stock 18" alloys one, it's giving me food for thought.

Once again a mint car and health to enjoy.

Thanks.

Full frontal clear bra already installed and is present in the pics above.

The "funny" twisted component is one of the front suspension linkage arms, the
"tension strut". I would guess that the funny shape of the part comes from a computer aided stress and deflection analysis that used shape optimization. Hence a part that does not at all look like something a human would imagine.

Best photos I've seen to date. Great job! My interior will be the same except for extended leather. I sure like the look of the aluminum trim. I liked the CF leather the first time I saw it, but by the second time it had grown old. Anyway, thanks for all the interesting photos. I will get the OEM pedals.
