Done absolutely on purpose by owner to prevent others from parking next to him/her. When it's a BMW, everyone thinks they are an ass. Same rules apply here, though if I owned that car, I'd be afraid to park it in a public spot as well.

If i parked my bmw like that, the next car would still park 2 inches away from me. Probably getting a parking ticket too with my luck.
I dont park like an idiot tho. I would find a wider spot or a corner spot i could space out. I cant get away with that so this dude cant either !!!!! lol |

TBH, this car park has 3 more levels below, where there are hardly any cars parked ever. As you said, this is just arrogant.

And to those who approve, I don't think you should buy a car and then be afraid to take it out. this is just sad...

How nice, he folded his mirrors in so you can park your smart car between him and the pole.

Find 4 friends with Gee-Wizes and park 2 on each side.

The guy drives a 458 convertible, he could give 1% of a fuck about what any of us think about his parking job. He's to busy wondering what color Audemars he is going to pick up after work today lol

Absolutely nothing wrong with arrogance when used in moderation.
Secondly, without seeing the surrounding spaces it is impossible to tell. Perhaps he rents both spaces purely for this purpose. Perhaps he owns the garage. Not enough information to pass judgment. In reality, there is never is.... |

Same rules cant apply. In all honesty if your driving that you shouldn't need to park anywhere but your heated roomy home garage and your personal isolated parking space if you actually feel the need to drive that to work. But if you do have to park it somewhere like that pic NOBODY with good reasoning can blame him.

In all fairness it is a wide-ass car. But a car is a car - a door ding on a Ferrari is the same as a door ding on an E90. I'd love to never have another door ding to worry about, but I'm not going to hog two parking spaces everywhere I go. It's amazing how easily we tolerate bad behavior from the rich.

I'd do the exact same in that spot. Look at the wall on the left, it takes a good 6-12" off the parking space, which means you'd have to park 6-12" closer to the space to the right. If someone tried to squeeze into that right space they'd get their plebeian Hyundai's paint on my $300,000 supercar.

I am in the same rules apply camp. He was just lucky that someone decided to park within the lines near him. In my area, some douche in a $2,000 car would park as close as possible before that e90 parked correctly near it. "More than you can afford pal" owner would have a door ding and not really any recourse.
