Where are the 16 speakers?

I have Enhanced Premium Sound in a 2008 BMW M3 Coupe. After a month of owning it now, I've finally started to fiddle with the accessories (taking a break from the sweet engine/exhaust sounds). There are supposed to be 16 speakers. I count 10 + 2 subs(under the 2 front seats). The 10 speakers are:
1) Front windows x 2 (tweeters) = 2
2) Front door x 2 = 2
3) Rear side panels (2 speakers * 2) = 4
4) Rear parcel shelf x 2 = 2

Where be the other speakers?

Thanks.

Rear shelf should count as 4. At least I think there are two mids and two tweeters up there, but I don't have an E92. Then you also have the center channel on the dash, don't forget. But that still only gets you up to 15 (including the subs). Hmmm...

Rear parcel shelf count as two each since they have are two-way speakers with the tweeter mouted in the center, and as noted you have the center channle which is two also.

1) Front windows x 2 (tweeters) = 2
2) Front door x 2 = 2
3) Rear side panels (2 speakers * 2) = 4
4) Rear parcel shelf (2 speakers * 2) = 4
5) Front Dash (2 speakers ) = 2
6) 2 Subs +2

Total = 16

Aah thanks both - that makes sense. Now if I can only figure out a good equalizer setting...

A freaking 2-way speaker doesn't count as TWO SPEAKERS anywhere except in the vehicle manufacturers' world of exaggerations . One thing is a speaker, and another speaker components. Our car has 16 speaker components, not 16 speakers.
Same when vehicle manufacturers list their 'empty' (or 'dry') weights with no fluids at all, battery, or tools/spare (if supplied); car is undrivable like that.

Dash counts as 2 speakers? Hmm...I thought there was just a 4" mid in the center like the regular E9X. Guess not

Agreed. They are calling each mid and each tweeter a "speaker." It's just marketing...I understand what is in the car so they can call it whatever they want for all I care!
