No paint?

And why that location? A rear corner would couple better and maintain more useable trunk space.

I used to have a Wicked enclosure in my E46 M3 it hit hard and was awesome, I really hope they make something like that for the E92

What's the big deal with the shape? Assuming it's strong enough an irregularly shaped enclosure is BETTER than a square one. I would have stood it up a bit more, personally, but it's fine as is.

the shape is just really odd, none of the corners match the contours of the car. it reminds me of a glop of play-doh or something.

The wrap is temporary for now until a friend ha some time to repaint it. The shape actually makes the sub hit harder than the square one it was it. I admit we need to clean up the corners. We molded the backside so it would sit flush, that's why the corners are all weird looking. It's a work in progress still.

No it doesn't. The shape is a minor difference at best. If it sounds better now either the box wasn't the right size before or you prefer the sound of it in this location. Or the square box was the worst built box ever.
