Help! Need opinions and expertise!
I'm looking at a e92 m3 that has a salvage title. It has 40,000 miles on it and he's asking around 28k. According to the seller the accident involved a right fender, right control arm, and bumper damage. He got everything fix at a reputable BMW shop with receipts(which I haven't looked at). Of course it comes with no warranty. I was wondering in you guys opinion is it a good deal? And do y'all every have problems with your m3? I currently own a 135i and I literally have problems like every other week. And I don't wanna spend money on another money pit. I do know with a v8 instead of turbos there's a lot of mechanical stuff that I don't have to worry about as much. Please let me know what ya think. Thank you very much for the inputs

what year? I would ask to see the estimate of repairs and/or total cost of repairs. If the car seems right then I would drive it, but beware, half of the board here is scared of everything and will tell you to run far away.
Also dependent on year, but that car should be more like 20-25k |

This is a pretty easy one. If you are having trouble because your current vehicle is unreliable, swapping it for one with a salvage title is not a good solution.

Why would a car be salvaged with only bumper, fender and control arm damage. I suspect he is not telling the whole story, i.e. bent frame. Have it inspected thoroughly before committing. Good luck!

It's a 2009. And yeah trading a unreliable car for a salvage one doesn't seem right but if there's not a lot of mechanical issues I don't mind. Plus the exterior and interior looks amazing. I would've never known it was in an accident. But yeah salvage title for just those things sound iffy. Can someone tell me how I would go about getting a presale inspection? Like where would I bring it? Once again thanks for yall's input and time!

Btw it has the smg transmission! Didn't know I some of y'all would think if that's cool!
Also has carbon fiber roof, front lip, and truck lip. And csl type wheels with brand new tires. No sure if you guys would take those options into consideration with the pricing. My main question is do m3 owners tend to have problems with their car?? |
