Strength of schedule is what throws in the bias (as does the voting). Bama loses to #1 but it doesn't hurt them as much as they've played "better teams" than BSU or some of those other smaller conference schools.

If OSU, Stanford, or Boise St. remain undefeated, there is no way I would pick a 1-loss team over any of them to play in the NC or any other BCS game.

They didn't fall at all in the AP poll (can't find the BCS one). But keep in mind there all the other teams behind them were one loss teams and the only lost by 3 in a shootout game, not by missing 4 field goals and playing sloppy. If everyone else behind Alabama also had one loss then fine, I can deal with it. But when you have a bunch of other quality undefeated teams, I don't think they deserved to fall only one spot.
