I asked one of the head tech and they told me not to. It already has protection and has 12 years warranty for rust and if you do rust proofing, you will void your warranty. That's what he told me because i was going to do it as soon as i bought my car.

I have always gone with this rationale on all my cars. Just wash them regularly get the salt off. Worst thing to do is leave a salt soaked car in a warm garage.
