FI's if you want performance, HRE's for Looks

pretty simple.

All the best on whatever you choose. With good taste they will both look good either way.

In general, the above may be true. However, the FI is a whole different animal, and certainly does not lack in the looks department. Pictures simply do not do this wheel justice!

1:5 or 1:10 is a common misconception.. it's more like 1:2 worst case.. so saving 3-5 lbs of unsprung weight is like saving 6-10 lbs of curb weight worst case..

i have been educated as 1:4 (rule of thumb)...

the important thing is that it really should be rotational mass.
the more you shed towards the outer end will benefit more, that is, a wheel with 2lbs shaved from the hub will "feel" heavier than a wheel with 2lbs shaved on the spokes and barrels.

Again, these are all rule of thumbs. but i do agree that removing 2 lbs from wheels will have a bigger impact than removing 2lbs from an exhaust.

BBS FI FTW!

I called BBS Germany today.
If i place my order today, delivery would be end of September !!! Due to holidays and the wheel will be build only on customer order.

I would prefer the Black Diamond Cut finish, but i don't like the matte black. I would prefer glossy black windows. This is no problem for BBS.

Did you know that you can order an extra protection against cuts from hitting the curbstone? It's a ring that will be glued and can be replaced if damaged.

BBS send me some real life pics. The wheel ist polished and has the extra protection.

The protective band might look OK on a silver wheel, but I think it would look like crap on the other colors. For whatever reason, BBS Germany is really trying to push that band.

I had a set of Black CH-R's prior to my FI's, and loved the band on the CH-R. However, it would not look right on the FI. You don't see Ferrari putting these bands on the 599 wheels do you???

The wheel looks so hot in GLOSS black, WITHOUT bands...

Thanks for the pics! Would love to see some diamond black FIs. What do these run for in Germany? Price quotes I've gotten in the US are ridiculous.

Congrats and HRE's are WAY OVERPRICED in Germany if they cost more than the F1's there.

I got the price for the P40 20" brushed face / black windows in germany.
Incredible 9500,00 Euro!!!!!!!!!! They must be crazy.

The FI's are cheaper and the better performance choice. I will order them.
I'm not clear about the color, black diamond cut or glossy black.

For that price, you might as well make a trip to the US and pick up a set and make a trip of it. I don't know how much they go for here, but WAY less than $13,000 USD.

Delivery will be in September.

This is polish? Looks silver to me.

Must be a bad picture anyway.
