Yes, there will be an 18x11" ET25 wheel. This could be use with a 295/30/18 tire. If you have a super charger then you would want to opt for the wider wheel and tire.

How about the max flush on a stock e90 non-m?

9 Square or 8.5/10 Stagger?

Need to order the tires, thinking 235/40 and 265/35
Would this be an LCI or pre-LCI e90?

any "live" pics such as from bimmerfest? thx.
At bimmerfest we bolted wheels onto a 335i. They were 18x9" ET31 fronts with 255/35/18 Toyo R888 tires, and 18x9.5" ET35 rears with 265/35/18 Toyo R888 tires.

Please note I will be out of the office for 1 week, and will not be able to respond to PM's or posts.

Can you take photos during your fitment testing so we can see how the 18x10 ET25 squared setup looks compared to the staggered sizes you mentioned above? Like M3roar stated, I don't want to have to add spacers to fill the gap. Do you have a hard date when you will start filling orders?

Wow, if these had been released about 5 months ago I'd own a set. Definitely going to be my next wheel, love the look, good value, good fitments. Giggity.

The difference in offset from the 18x10 et25 and the 18x10.5 et27 is only a .079 inch difference but the difference in wheel width is .5 inch. So I think the 18x10 in theory should be much more sunken in the wheel well.

Question I have is:

Will Profile 1 wheels all have the same concavity, or will they change based on width. Then, secondly to that, will the concavity be the same for the same profile and width, or will offset change the concavity again?

The pic above, both wheels fall into the Profile 2 category. However, with the angle of pic, I can't tell if they are about the same in concavity, or if there is more in the rear with the wider wheel yet higher offset.

Main reason for this question is that, I want to run a Profile 1 18x9.5 +58 in the rear and probably a Profile 1 18x8.5 +35 in front. but I want to make sure the Rear is more concave then the Front.

The face of the 10.5" wheel is 4mm closer to the fender than the 18x10" ET25 wheel. It's almost completely unnoticeable to the eye. The benefit of the 10.5" wheel is the extra sidewall support it can give a tire without being pushed out as aggressively as the 11" wheel (The 11" wheel is 13mm more aggressive than the 10" wheel).

Each profile comes from a separate tooling. All wheels from that tooling will like 98% similar. The spokes are 100% the same. The only difference is how deep the center pad is, and how deep the lug holes are drilled.

The only reason the wheels look different in the above photo because you see the rear wheels at more of an angle, while you are looking more straight on at the front wheels. The spokes create this affect. The 18x9.5" ET58 and the 18x8.5" ET35 come from the same tooling, and the ET35 wheel simply has lug bolts that will be more deeply recessed. It's just the physically requirements of each offset that make it this way. The above wheels in the photo (18x9" ET31 and 18x9.5" ET35) are within 1mm of being exactly identical once you adjust for offset due to the barrel width differences).

Great info, thank you.

I might go with 18x9.5 +43 Profile 2 for the rear then, and 18x9 +42 Profile 1 for the front. Got some time and decisions to make.

If the G8 is very similar to the GTO then most have picked 18x8.5" ET35 and 18x9" ET42. But you may be able to get away with the more aggressive rear. I am not very familiar with your Pontiac fitment though.

G8 and GTO are similar somewhat, but the G8 has a lot more room in the rear.

For Example, I can (and currently do) run VMR 18x9.5 +45 and don't rub with a 275/40. I changed to a 285/40, and had to roll slightly to avoid the rub. There is still plenty of room on the interior side though.

I was very interested in that 18x9.5 +58, but I want concavity in the rear. With those only being profile 1, I don't think I'll like the look. Plus, I'd have to run 18x8.5 +45 Profile 1 with that +58 to have the same outer position. Anything else (like the preferred 18x8.5 +35) would stick out further in front than the rear, and that'd look silly in my opinion.

So, I am going to go with the 18x9.5 +43 in the rear which is Profile 2. And I can run a 275/40 or 285/40. Both will fit since I rolled, but even an unrolled g8 should fit the 275/40 with that wheel in the rear.

As for the front, not sure if I want to go with the 18x8.5 +35 or 18x9 +42. I think a 255 tire would fit better on the 18x9 rather than 18x8.5. (I currently have 255/40/18 on 18x8.5 +35 VMRs up front).

18x9.5 +43 square has cossed my mind many times too, lol. Like I said, I have to really think this over.

Any questions on the G8, just let me know. I've gone through many sets of wheels and tested a lot of fitments out.

What would be the correct size to order if you would like to run a 285/35/18 Square set up..

Sidenote: Eddie, I sent you two emails regarding these wheels and still have not received a response.

With the new wheel picture grid up on the Apex site, I was able to get a look at the concavity of the different profile.

Paintpro21, hope you don't mind me posting these pics of yours:

This thread is for the E9X M3 fitment. All wheel sizes for this application are profile 3 which is why the other images were not posted. The below E9X M3 sizes are all the most concave profile (profile 3).

18x9.5" ET22
18x10" ET25
18x10.5" ET27
18x11" ET25

I will PM you regarding the email issue. I'm not sure what happened that prevented us from receiving your question.

There is no correct size to fit 285/35/18 on the M3 unless the car is a dedicated race car. 285/35/18 is significantly taller than stock, and this tire will be very close to the suspension.

You have to keep the lower spring perch above the tire for a fitment like this to work on the M3, and due to the overall diameter of the tire, it's not feasable at useable offsets to get the 285 into the right position.

If you install a 285/35/18 that is physically as narrow as a 265 or 275 from another brand (sidewall to sidewall) then you can get a 285 to fit. But there is no point in doing this as the goal is not to run a tire with "285" written on the sidewall, but instead to run a tire that is wider and faster than a 275 option.

You'd have to be willing to test the setup and potentially fail if you were to try this fitment. It would need maximum negative camber, rolled front fenders, and a spacer to push the tire away from the strut tube.

275/35/18 is the better size because of this.

I have ARC-8's in the 18x10 size, on a E92 with EDC. My 275/35R18 tires rub in front. I'm interested in the EC-7 in 18x9.5 ET35. With a 265/35R18 tire, has anyone reported rubbing? I feel this should be much safer.

Since I may need to upgrade the brakes, I'd really like a clear statement on exactly which 18" sizes will accommodate the Brembo 380 kit.

So everything I've read thus far leads me to this proposed setup:

2011 E90 M3: Thus far, stock suspension.
Eventually planning Brembo 380mm Front Brakes

So if I want a square track-friendly setup where I run 265/35/18 Pilot Sport Cups, it sounds like the SAFEST bet is 18x10 ET25

A square set of 18x10.5 ET 27 would yield a non-optimum/non square German tuner stretch on a set of these 265/35/18 PSCs, correct?

I'm not going for Stanceworks, I just want a square setup with NO rubbing, and it is OK if they are not pushed all the way out. We've got no business trying to run that extreme on PA roads.

Thanks for the info Eddy and all thread participants.

All E9X M3 wheel sizes in the EC-7 design clear the Brembo 380 spacer free. Those wheel sizes are as follows:

18x9.5" ET22
18x10" ET25
18x10.5" ET27
18x11" ET25

18x9.5" ET35 should not need a spacer either on the E9X M3, but we do know it needs a 5mm spacer on the E46 M3 which has a shallower brake hat. The 18x9.5" ET35 was not made for the E9X M3, but it does work with a 265/35/18 summer tire as a very tight fit on the strut side. Extreme summer and r-compounds may touch the strut and require a spacer.

You said the fronts rubbed for you, and I'm not sure what that rubbed against, or what tire model you ran in that particular setup.

If you want to avoid front rubbing I would recommend 18x9.5" ET22 with 265/35/18 tires. That wheel would provide more strut and fender side clearance than the 10" wheel, and the 265's would make the fitment easier. I do not recommend the ET35 wheel.

18x10.5" ET27 would be a problematic front fitment. The wheel would need a spacer in the front to avoid the strut tube, which would push it out further. 18x10.5" ET27 should only be used square on a dedicated race car. It would be prone to front rubbing on a street car simply due to the wider arc the wheel would swing from street use.

18x10" ET25 is the correct wheel size for a proper front and rear square setup. The 10" wheels will already provide more than enough sidewall support for a 265 PSC.

Thanks and congratulations on a very well engineered and appealing design.
I love that Apex wheels are made for these cars!
