Yeah, but notice how all those pictures weren't taken in Vancouver We do have a pretty awesome backyard though. Though, if you like these drives, may I suggest Kelowna instead? Last edited by Veritable; 09-09-2010 at 03:04 PM.. |

Fantastic post!
I have my son at UBC Okanagan and my daughter at UBC Vancouver, so these roads are now on my list. Last two trips we took the X5, but if there is an Indian summer during Canadian Thanksgiving, the M3 might get the call! Thanks again!

This is a great thread!
If you get a chance, take the turn-off just east of Princeton and head north on 5A North, the Princeton-Kamloops highway. It goes directly north along Allison Lake and intersects the Okanagan Connector. It's a beautiful drive I found when I was just wandering around the highways in my new M5 in 2003. I'd got as far as Princeton and decided I wanted to head to Kelowna for the night, so took a shortcut to get to the Connector. Stayed in Kelowna overnight, watched the mountainsides burning along the east end of the lake, then left in the morning ahead of the really big fires. |
