Anyone know the best way to ship large items such as exhausts etc?

I recently checked with UPS and FedEX and was quoted at nearly $1200 for shipping an exhaust (I checked for UAE and Sweden from the states). The dimensions of the package were 55"x25"x14" (so to speak!), and weight was 55lbs (all jokes welcome).

I know the vendors are getting this stuff shipped for around $300-400. While I know they have established accounts and ship in volume, there has to be a way for the individual to get a decent rate...? Ideas...?

Greyhound shipping is really nice.

You might require a pallet though.

Check out their website for info. Not very expensive.
