Drove a new spec DCT today

All I have to say is wow! Either they fixed something big @ the factory or its a new gearbox completely.. This car was sublime, no lag, smooth, super fast shifts and responsive. So unlike the first edition that I drove! I am so tempted to change to the dark side

P.S. I like my tech goodies and the new Idrive is worth the swap if you in the market

Unless you hit the perfect slow to a stop then try to accelerate the lag response isn't present. 99.9% of the time ours works as you described.(with the latest upgrade) Glad you enjoyed it!

what do you mean by the latest upgrade??

How do you check the version of your update?

Do a search, few large threads about this. If your car was built before oct 2008 you probably have the old software, after that a newer version should have been installed. Only way to know otherwise is have the dealer check. In December a formal recall was issued on the old software.
