M3 idle for 2 months, how bad is it?
I'll be gone for 2 months and my M3(including X5 and mini s) will be sitting in the garage all covered up for almost 8 weeks(could be less), and i was wondering if that would affect the engines in any way to leave it idle for that long.
so how bad is it? i could arrange for someone to turn my cars on for a bit every once in a while(without driving them), but it be too much hassle for me and the other person. so what do you guys think? m, |

It won't be a problem. I'd just pull the batteries before you leave.

Exactly. You can also hook it up to a trickle charger like BNR32 suggested. That would keep you from losing your presets, etc.

full tank? blah' ....i don't have time to fill them up, but I'll try early tomorrow morning. so unplugging the battery is only to avoid losing my preset setting and iDrive stuff?
the oil in the M3 is down to a quarter(the display bar), it still didn't reach "0" yet, it's ok yeah? |
