+1.... I have been doing bunch of research and I am going to go with the brand I know....

K&N has been making filters like you guys said waaay before any of these guys and I never had any bad experience with any of my previous K&N filters.....

It is $56.00 shipped 2 days via Amazon prime..... No one is going to beat that.

^This. I'm one of the believers in the RPi scoops combined with the BMC filter. I noticed a solid difference.

Just got my K&N filter in. Asked for 08 M3 and it came with the rubber end. Had a hell of a time trying to put it in. Is it not suppose too fit?

In the pics I posted the 2008 uses the one without the rubber molding

This why I went with the AFE..you get the right filter for your model year

Yes I see that. K&N has the same filter with the rubber end listed for 08 models. So are they wrong? Will it not fit? Can someone with a K&N on a 08 confirm this?

Had no trouble installing mine.

There are 2 K&N variants for 2008 models, US (E-1994) and non-US (E-2994). The non-US will have the rubber end to fit the larger Euro air boxes.
