Diffuser installed today = PICS GALORE
So this is a thread about the diffuser installation of my:
I ordered a diffuser last week got it delivered to me on Monday. I went to the body shop today to get installed for the meet on Sunday. Installation was pretty straight forward. Although the vendor recommended Betalink, we decided to use double-sided tape instead. The fitment of the diffuser was quite good to start with. However, we still need to adjust it and create some new mounting points to take stress off of the piece so that it curve the way we wanted it to curve. All in all, took use about an hour to get everything settled. We also threw this on to my car since the Euro bumper is stuck in customs and my front lip is not ready yet: The reflectors came out a little darker than the bumper, but I'll live with it for now. Here's the end result of the diffuser before I got my wheels installed: A couple more pictures of the diffuser and Fame Freiheit exhaust while the car was on the lift:

How come the end part of the diffuser does not lay flat or is it just like that?
Looks very good tho!

It's the design. I don't quite understand it either. I would rather have it sit flush.

i dunno about that diffuser, who makes it!?
It doesnt look right, it sits lower then the bumper, not flush AT ALL. That would bother me personally, but looks good otherwise!

That's the "design" of that style of a diffuser. I'm not happy about it either. Waiting for the Version II diffuser from Eric / Eclispe

Nope, dont like it. Either its because your car is dirty and you took the pics with it on it or its the fact that the difuser is not flush with the bumper. Either way. Plus the reflectors are darker? OMG. Take more pride in your Bimma. Do it right the first time.

The car was just washed right before the install of the diffuser. Unfortunately, I live in the Northeast region of the USA. We have something that's called SNOW and the roads are heavily sanded and salted this season. My car began to accumulate sand and dust the minute I drove off my friend's detail shop. As far as the diffuser not sitting flush, it's the FREAKING DESIGN of the diffuser. Do you want me to shave that CF off and break the weave so that it would sit flush? For the reflectors, you need to talk to Long Tran. They came from him looking like that. I didn't paint them. It is a temporary solution for the meet on Sunday because DB Schenker wouldn't clear customs for my Euro bumper that has been sitting at Logan for over a week. I really don't know if there's a right / correct way of mods....... As for pride, sorry, I have none, it's just a car and I'm just a lowly medical student going on to becoming an incompetent intern. Happy barfing and go see a Dr. if you develop Boerhaave's from it.
