Peeps who think personal plates are dooshy....well, I just don't get it. So they'd rather have the gov't determine what goes on their car? Makes no sense. I can't understand why everybody doesn't choose what they want on their plate. Even if its just some numbers.

Couple of strange reasons why I do a personal plate:

1. Because I can.
2. Why would anyone want a government mandated number plastered on YOUR car???
3. I have OCD and am terrified of odd numbers. Only way to control it!
So referencing #3 above do u have an M4 and not an M3?

I don't think that vanity plates are necessarily douchy, but your rationale is somewhat suspect. First, the government already mandates that a plate or plates go on your car, and the numbers are randomly sequenced and distributed. In any event even vanity plates need government approval before a requested sequence can be issued. Moreover, when you request a vanity plate you pay more in fees to the government for that plate.

I don't have an issue with vanity plates, but the only justification for them is that you like the plate you ordered and that the combination ordered means something to you. They are only "douchy" if the message displayed on them is douchy.

Took delivery of my 2011 e92 ZCP last week and ordered 1FAKEM3 to troll everyone that puts an M badge on a non-M car.

Cant wait to put it on when it arrives!
