I had the OEM modded exhaust installed tonight. All I can say is WOW this is how the car should have come from the factory.

What a huge difference. With the windows up you can hardly tell anything has been done however hit the gas or roll the windows down and you can hear a significant difference. The car now has a nice deep growl without any rasp.

I you are looking for something louder then stock with absolutely no drone at any RPM this is the way to go. I thought Dinan was the way to go but for me it was just too much. Don't get me wrong it too had a truly amazing sound but it was just too much at certain speeds.

Simply put, I just love the new exhaust note

I have the perforated exhaust mod done on my car, and it sounds amazing. I've been curious to hear the straight through exhaust mod in person though. I have custom exhaust tips on my muffler to suit my tastes so I refuse to swap it out with an aftermarket exhaust. However, I was riding passenger in an M3 with the Meistercraft exhaust, which sounded even better.

I was wondering if anyone is interested in meeting up and letting me hear their straight through exhaust mod? You can check out my exhaust as well.

Anyone local GTA has the straight-through mod? Would like to hear it in person this weekend if possible.

Ok, so I've contacted the appropriate sources. The straight through exhaust is ridiculously loud, and sounds worlds apart from the perforated exhaust mod. It is so much louder that very few people would be able to tolerate it, and that's without even removing the secondary cats. This option isn't even an option for the majority of us.

Going back to the Mesiterchaft, it was the GT exhaust that I heard. Again, extremely loud but the exhaust tone is amazing (significant improvement over the perforated exhaust mod) but with drone around the 3000rpm mark. Even this exhaust is too loud unless you drive weekends only.

So looks like I need to find someone with the slightly less loud Meistercraft High Performance Touring exhaust. Anyone in the GTA have this exhaust??? I would appreciate hearing it in person.

I'm down for a group meet, it's been a while since I last went to one.

I am getting this perforated mod done as we speak. I had the muffler off yesterday, and good lord is it ever loud with no muffler on lol. Straight through would be ridiculous I agree...also you would lose power.

I'd be up for it. I'm close to heartland. Mavis/Dundas;

Currently I am looking add test pipes to the OEM Exhaust. But this thread is making wonder how would it sound with the OEM Exhaust Mod. I guess what I dont know is if the Exhaust Mod is louder than Replacing Primary Cats using Test Pipes.

Question.. Purely based on the sound of the exhaust; what I can conclude from this thread is the following

OEM Loud to Loudest
1. OEM Exhaust
2. OEM Exhaust + Primary Cat Delete
3. OEM Exhaust Mod
4. OEM Exhaust Mod + Primary Cat Delete

Did I get the order right? Is 3 louder than 2?

So I got it done, the boys at StreetXtreme did an incredible welding job on the muffler, looks mint....sounds great.

I find though now when I go over 120 the car shakes more, I assume this is because the exhaust is rumbling more?

It's a good little mod The shaking reminds me not to speed lol, before I was going 180+ without noticing heh.

LOL, the car should not shake at all over 120. Are you sure it wasn't present before? That doesn't sound good. You shouldn't feel any more vibrations in the car than you did previously. Did you coincidently mount your summer tires at the same time? Maybe they're not balanced well.

lol maybe, I need to check it this weekend. Its not that the car shakes, its more like the steering wheel shakes more than before...or I am just losing my mind...which is possible. Been a long week. lol

Ok yeah, I think it was a combination of the storm I was driving in and being tired when I picked up the car.

Drove it this weekend, and no shaking at all, just some nice rumbling at the high rpm's

I am interested in doing this at StreetXtreme. Could you let me know what's the method? Do they cut out the perforated pipes and replace them with with solid ones? Also, are there any drones? Thanks.
