Performance Steering Wheel Question

I have an E90 6MT. What is the difference between the performance steering wheel with and without "steptronic" that I can order from BMW Accessories?

If you have a 6MT you don't want one with Steptronic or DCT. I'm not familiar with this wheel though so maybe someone else will explain better. I'm assuming it has cut outs for the paddle shifters

Please tell me if the Performance Steering wheel is as thick rimmed as the stock. I love the stock thick wheel, and I don't want a thinner wheel-but I like the look and Alcantara of the performance wheel.

It is a bit thinner than the stock one, but it feels just fine .
The alcantara helps a lot, i get a better feeling with the performance wheel than the stock one

Interesting. That's not the Performance Steering wheel I just ordered from my dealer. I believe the wheel in the photo is out of production. My wheel is shown on the BMW site without any electronic displays. It has a flat bottom, like a DTM racer, and a yellow orientation stripe at the top. Very elegant, and no gizmos.
