I went 89 degrees in the rain on the exit of T1. I felt bad for my instructor...probably shat himself. These were NT01s with about 6 street miles on them. They actually did excellent in the rain!

Was that the first session? Cause if so, man I had huge difficulties with my instructor. I wasn't able to hear him at all and what sound it like go, was like No! LMAO!!!!!! Afterwards, I had a great instructor with a mic, and it was so much better. He let me do my thing and it went on so much better, of course with him making sure I was on line. I had a wonderful day.

Getting no and go mixed up is never a good thing. The instructor may not have had a communication but you are also a deaf SOB

communicators make a big difference! While we do not REQUIRE them of all instructors, it's something that is HIGHLY recommended. it Also helps the instructor have a voice on Monday morning as well..

Yes, that was the 1st session of the day. With the track being so big, that was the only time I saw your car.

I agree, that they should be required especially with loud cars such as mines or at least the driver, I would buy one. I recorded that first session, and my video recorder was able to pick him up. When I was watching the video, It made perfect sense what he was telling me.

I think it was more the curbing. I missed that curb every other time (Sun and back in Jan) in the rain. Not sure why...I went with the dry line. As soon as I turned in I knew it was going to be an adventure.

Here's my only clean lap from weekend...

Z4M Owner Frank Yu captured us moving through the instructor group.. the first lap is a 2:50 in traffic and the second looks to be a 2:45 fairly clean but included going offline to clear two cars and a nice wiggle in the esses... . ( running from 2:53 to 5:38 per harry's lap timer ). I was on street tires.. 265/35/18 hankook RS-3s.. and he had R tires on. We ran nose to tail for an entire session.

Would people be interested in another run of event T shirts? $20/shirt shipped.

Also I need to run some more jackets the racers got. Is anybody interested in them? They are $125 shipped. If you didn't see them they are fairly heavy jackets (would be a colder weather jacket here in Texas). Features the event logo on the back.

Bone stock M3DCT, warranty just expired. About 60K miles on it. Lots of track time. Down shifting going into T12, Kaboom. Given the destruction to the engine block, I'd guess it's that same issue lots of others are having with SCs..

Small engine fire I think, and then a large fire at the rear bumper. All due to oil spray. I thought the wheels were gold when I drove by, but it was oil! Very lucky the fire didn't spread to the fuel tank.

M3 is now in a very distinguished club of fire prone sports cars

Sunday afternoon, late in the day. Saw it come back to the pits as I was preparing to head home.
