Bought a leaf blower. Used it. Worked!!!
Saved me about 90% of the 2nd cleaning.

Your original problem with rust was driving around while wet. You were also picking up dust and other crap on the body while driving around wet, which could lead to swirls/scratches when towel drying.

Glad you (and I) found a better way to dry the car!

Just thought I'd let you know guys know.

I started using fast wax inbetween washes as a quick fix.
I realized you can use it on the wheels and the dirt wont stick to the ZCP.

After using it, literally all you need for a month after application is 3 mins and a plain white terry shop cloth, just wipe where there's dirt and the wax layer stays, dirt doesnt. It's so awesome.

Saves me LOADS of time with these ZCP.

I do have the silvers though, not sure if it would leave anything visible on the black.

Same issue here with my dark grey wheels. Leaf blowing them solves the issue.

that is nice...but at 338$ is a little pricey. especially with a lot of guys using electric leaf blowers here that, i think , are less than 60$ with great satisfaction.

if anyone is interested in this, there are a few on ebay for 315$.

?? U got a great answer but I guess you overlooked it. Get a blower. And dry the wheels and brakes before driving.

After going through cheaper brushes that fall apart and don't get the job done - yeah, they're worth it. Much easier to clean these wheels with them.

Wheel woolies are pretty good. They reach the entire inner barrel.
