My guess would be she held the unlock button for a little after she got out of the car, which should open all the windows. As for the OBD port, that could just have been kicked loose while getting out of the car.
This happened to me once in 4 years of driving my x5, minus the OBD port being open.

The unlock button on the key was pressed most likely and the windows rolled down....

My 128i had the windows open about 4" one morning. Consensus was that the unlock button was pushed and held and then the lock button was pushed.

Unlock button. Kicks the OBD port when shes not paying attention. And screwed up the hood and didn't tell you.
