BR racing the other week completed their prototype backing plate. We will be providing them all of our intake ducting when the product is completed.

I guess I'll hold off installing the bbk

Does BR racing have a website? Will they offer them exclusively or will you be selling them as well?

Thanks

Looks like Bimmerworld has a backing plate option now:

Just placed my order on these. I'll see if I can figure out the ducting on my own.

Very cool - look forward to your review and pics/etc. Are you running the stock brakes or a BBK?

Just got off the phone with bimmerworld and it's a three week wait 'worst case scenario'. I've a stoptech bbk I'll be installing along with the backing plates once they're in. I warped the OEM rotors with two track days at the glen. Used some aggressive track pads and the rotors didn't like it.

All they have is 1-series. I hope they have something soon.

How do you know? I spoke with them a couple of weeks ago and they said they would fit, but it would be up to me to figure out how to run the ducts. Just curious if you already tried them and they did not work. Thanks!

I know because I bought a set from them about 6 month ago. There is not enough clearance between plate and rotors, no matter if OEM or aftermarket.
About 10mm wrong offset! We modified ducts and plates to get a mixture between GT4 and these plates and now they work fine. Maybe they changed their plates meanwhile, but the set which I received was definitely wrong!

Very interested in a complete package for OEM brakes. I'd love to place one order and have all the parts included. Subscribed

Thanks for the heads up. I guess I have to call them again tomorrow and triple check if they'll fit.

I do not know if they are even aware of the fact, that they do not fit.
