At least wait until you have the M3 broken in.

got it on may 16th
had it for sale since mid june
looks 10/10
interior 10/10
driving pleasure 4/10

the manual sucks
jerky no matter what you do
torque begins around 3500rpm
very little below that
i rarely used 5th or 6th
i had to keep it in 4th to get acceleration
did the software update, helped a little
but i couldn't justify paying 610 a month for the A5 when i could pay around 100 extra for an M3

just found out the M3 has 349 miles not 3 miles as whats listed on their website
i know it has not been registered
but it was obviosuly used as a demo
how much more should i take off??
i am not even sure if my bank will classify this as a new car
and the interest rate in used is more than new
so it will cost me more to finance

Why wouldn't you finance at .9% with BMWFS?

because i am financing over 8 years
can't afford to finance at 0.9% over 5 years with BMW
my payment would be 950 as opposed to 720 if i do it over 8 years

I didn't realize banks even did 8 year loans for cars. In fact, I wasn't aware of anything over 6 years.

Uh - no offense, but if you can't afford a 5 year loan at 0.9%, you can't afford the car.

don't take the car. it's basically used! it was probably a demo car. Get yourself an '09 for maybe 2k more. I was able to get mine for $800 over invoice.

it's technichally a new car
its not listed as used car, or as a demo
i don't want an 09 since it will cost more for no extra features
i don't want idrive so thats the one benefit for the 09

i was going to ask for an extra 1K off
or 500$ plus alarm with install fees

Think about it, the loan will be in your credit for 8 years. What's the interest rate on the loan?

If you can't afford the car, it's best to just save up and buy the M when you are financially stable, don't force it. The M3 isn't going anywhere, it's always going to be here, granted that the price will increase annually but atleast you have no debt that big.

forget it. ask for another 2k off! Then it's a deal.

I'm serious. Get a 2009 the way you want it. If you're looking for a stripper, then order it specifically the way you want it.

I ordered my almost fully loaded. BUT, if I wanted a stripper then this is what I would order:

Coupe: $52,900
EDC: 910
ipod/usb: 365
smartphone: 135

Gas Guzz: 1300
Destination: 825
==================

$56,615 final invoice. Add 800 for dealer profit. the best part is that you know the car is yours and no one beat it up during test drives. Now if the car had only 3 miles, then it's a different story.

who cares about the financing. 5 years or 8 years. BUT, make sure this is YOUR car and not someone else's for the past 365 miles. It seems like you're buying this car for keeps, so make sure it's perfect.

Don't buy the car, period. I know you hate hearing this, and I hate to say it. But an 8 year payment on a car is a BAD idea. Especially for a M car. Your warranty will go out half way through, so if you have any major issue at all in the latter half of the life of ownership, it will be out of pocket. This isn't a normal BMW either, its an M. If something breaks, it will be more expensive. And its a very high performance car, the chances of a problem over 8 years are high. BMW makes great products, but this is a huge gamble and it sounds like you don't have alot of money to cover the loss if something bad happened.

I really don't want to be one of "those guys" to tell you this. The M3 is amazing, and we are all star struck, but the smart choice for you is to not buy it.
If you can't afford it, sometimes you just can't afford it.

A better option for you would be to wait a year and buy one used for around $45k.

well the issue is not how i am financing it
i know its not financially wise
the interest rate is 4% and it will go down after 6 months as its tied to prime, and prime has already gone down .5% and might go lower in the coming weeks
so it will end up around 3-3.5%

i am not going to live in the states for too long
and this car in Egypt is about $365,000
so i want to enjoy it now before i have to leave

so my point is, how much more should i try to take off?

if your only going to be here for so long, and you want a low payment, why arent you leasing it? you could easily get that car for a lease payment of $700-$750

if you want the car that bad dont put yourself in debt and buy it, just lease it lol

edit: to answer your question i would call them and act very upset that they listed the miles incorrectly, and tell them you want another 1500 off and go from there.
