BTW...where did you get that AIS map labeled with shipplotter.com? I went to that site, but it appears one has to have their software and a receiver.

Good Show Fletch!!! I am really enjoying your contributions ... I don't think other 'vessel' threads are as compulsive (disturbed?) as the one we seem to be building

I got the navigational/plotted map from the same site: http://www.ais-live.co.uk/ There was also a live webcam but it was facing a different angle (not showing berth 38/39)

It looks like we're delayed a day then, my friend. Hopefully the crew will make up for it in the open water. Still curious why they are docked at the QE2 Passenger Terminal. Perhaps the crew were off into town to hit the local pubs before heading out to sea ... not sure if its W W L's policy / within SOP

I know more now of Southampton Docks then I ever expected to know... chalk it up to one of the many perks of BMW ownership? I doubt buying a MB, Audi, Lexus etc would be as involving ...

Ok, to join into the delivery hysteria, I called the 800 number. My E90 is mingling at the port with other BMW's and makes while waiting for a ship to get over here. Put it on the damn ship already!

Latest info (as of 12:10 EST) ...

According to the Shipping Movements Table over at http://www.southamptonvts.co.uk/com/smovements.htm the Don Juan is only scheduled to depart Southampton 02/18/06 at 06:00 (UK time) / 01:00 EST...

2 days delay (and counting?) ... will keep you posted

I only wish there was a way to know what caused a delay... Guess it's not that important. As my father would say..."Don't worry. It will sail when it sails."

How do I find out for sure if Im on The Don Juan???? Mine was built on 2-3. OC says its in Transit.. 800 line still says awaiting shipment..
Mine is supposed to come to Charleston.. I know the VIN and Prod #..

How can I tell????

Then select 'Auto Cargo' on the right-hand nav and enter your VIN. If you are on Don Juan, your cargo information will appear.

First of all congratulations to the new shipmates...

As of 21:00 EST, Southhampton shipping movement schedule shows that the D J's scheduled sailing/departure has been pushed back, yet once more, to 09:15 (UK time) / 04:15 EST - .02/18/06... 3 hours later!!

Curious to know what the hold up is . It's obviously not due to delays in unloading/loading (over and done with on 02/16). The D J is still docked at the QE2 Passenger Terminal (berth 38/39) ... anyone care to speculate (for entertainment reasons) ...

Did you search the Wallenius site with you VIN#?? The 800 number still says Im waiting for transportation, and The OC website just changed to En Route today.. And mines been on the DJ since 2-13.
It was built 2-3.. Ordered 1-16. You may be on the ship and just dont know it...

Yes, enter your FULL VIN in the query box, and you'll know for sure if you're on board or not as the DJ info has been posting for a coupe of days now. Also, the OC and the 800# are notoriously late with info from everything I've read on the boards. Stick with W&W's information as it is updated more quickly.

Ehem....anybody remember which ship was leaving Bremerhaven today? Perhaps it might be entertaining to watch its progress...worse...to feel the utter disappointment if it were to pass the DJ on its way here!

Just checked the shipping company's website and I'm on the Don Juan!! I don't know if I can take the waiting any longer!! To everyone whose car is on the Don Juan with mine, the best of luck and (hopefully) a speedy crossing.
