New Interior LED toys from BREX
Just received two new products that I ordered from BREX. The first one is a side facing T5 / 74 bulb. These are direct replacement for the tiny bulbs in the rear foot-well lights.
http://www.brex.jp/jp/mstickwedge/ The other product is a 12 LED matrix for the over head dome light: http://www.brex.jp/jp/matrixbulb/ This is supposed to be super bright, and will look more neatly arranged than the LED24 that BavAuto sells. Installation is coming on Monday, real pics will follow.

Looks like they are a very "cool" color temp. Frankly, I want the inside "warm". If they offered a 3200k I'd be interested.

My wife buys a lot of stuff in Japan so I just ask her to order some for me as well. I think she located the bulbs in rakuten.co.jp and then used a shopper service called fromjapan.co.jp to order the bulbs. Some of the shops on Rakuten will actually ship to the US. That's how I got my NEEZ wheels.

Going to take them soon, and to do a couple more bulbs on the driver side. I have 7 bulbs left total at this point (3 in the front dome, 2 under door, and 2 front footwells).

Unfortunately with the crappy Japanese Yen conversion, yes, they are close to 100 bucks a pop.

This looks fantastic on silver interior.. i can imagining it to look great as well on black interior.
I currently have Fox Red... I don't think the white LEDs will look as good on Fox Red interior just because the tone of the color. I imagine warmer bulbs will look better with such interior, it leaves the interior with a more classic/formal ambience. I imagine this to be the same for beige interior owners. |

Yeah, on par with a 1300 dollar CF wrapped FRP lip or diffuser.

Passenger Side foot well: http://www.ledlight.com/t10-wedge-si...led-light.aspx Get the ZERO degree offset Puddle lights and driver side foot well: http://www.ledlight.com/super-flux-c...led-light.aspx Requires slight modification of the housing. I'm trying to see if I could use the passenger foot well housing for the puddle lights and driver side foot well. I'm working with Tischer BMW trying to locate the P/N of that transparent light housing. I installed the LEDs in the front dome today. Quote:

Actually, very easy:
1. Remove the puddle light housing 2. Twist and remove the bulb 3. Remove the semi-transparent plastic cover with a tiny screw driver or plastic wedge, or just simply pull it straight out 4. There is a piece of U shaped metal inside the housing, use a pair of needle nose pliers to pull them out 5. The new LEDs should fit snuggly inside the housing. If not, just some red-backing 3M mounting tape on the back to tape it up to the top. 6. Fish the wire through the hole for the socket 7. Attach wire to the socket 8. Plug in the wire to test it 9. If it does not light up, pull out and reverse the socket, and test it again 10. Put everything back together

Inspired by our friend in Japan with his LED creation (his is a 10 Nichia high flux LED custom design circuit) using the puddle lights from the E60, I'm going to order a couple of those and see if I can fit those in my E92 with the 6 high flux LED matrix that I have. I don't anticipate any problem. I'll order the light housings today and if it fits, I'll order som new high flux LEDs. This would save you from modding your OEM housing.

Plug and Play Puddle / Driver-side Foot Well Lights are in the works! Evan @ Tischer is nice enough to order up the front passenger foot well lights for me. I'll be doing a PnP conversion of these foot well lights with LED once they get in. That way, you will not have to modify your current housings to accommodate these large LED bulbs. This is the light housing SOARISTO used for his custom LED courtesy light: I ordered 3 of these from Tischer, 2 for underneath the doors, and 1 for the driver side footwell. The LED bulb that will be used for this application is this: http://www.ledlight.com/t10-wedge-si...led-light.aspx
