Two of these are impractical as road vehicles (while, yes, they are street legal)...the other one is what I'm getting ready to replace the MINI with...so no arguments there

I wouldn't call it a girls car any more than I'd call a Mustang or Z4 a girls car. There are a LOT of women driving Mustangs and Z4 around here but do you consider them chick cars? They're no Celica or Malibu.
Granted I picked up a MCS last year but I don't believe myself to be biased by that. If I thought it was a chick car, I wouldn't have got it to begin with.

The ratio drops to maybe a 1:2 or 1:3 for GT's but that's akin to female owners/drivers of Coopers vs Cooper S and JCW. The JCW I almost got last year was previously owned by a female. I think Mini Coopers, like a lot of cars, are just one of those cars that splits its gender demographic. New or old, Jeeps are also that way. So are 335's. As far as the 500 someone mentioned, I don't think that's even a girl car. I just don't know what it is. I would also note that I am disappointed by my MCS' handling. It doesn't have the sport suspension but I was still expecting more. It is a car that is fairly tossable, quicker than one thinks, and good on gas, though. It needs a heavier clutch and who the hell does not put an oil temp gauge as standard on a car?!

the closest thing my wife has driven to a 100% girl's car is a Scion XB.
.....then the 335i. she drove my SRT8300C and now drives an SRT8 Challenger <--- furthest thing from a chick car |
