Duplicate 2011 Navigation DVD

Hey Guys,

quick question, a friend of mine is selling a duplicate 2011 BMW navigation DVD, he’s claiming that it's compatible with my E92 2008 M3 and it is as good as the original. Has anyone tried a duplicate one before on their car? Is it worth buying the original or just going for the duplicate copy

Many thanks in advance,
A

I have updated my dvd several times with 'non-genuine' versions. currently I have a 2011 disc that cost me about $45. all have worked perfectly.

Well supposedly has any road/layout changes, plus of course 'speedcams' are indicated, but I am not sure how useful that is to you over there in the US of A.....

You can download the 2011 discs for free via torrent on the web. Downloading these without actually owning the discs is illegal however.

I have it, it'll work 100% with a 2008.

Here's the thing, it's not an official BMW DVD. the speed camera part was added in by a 3rd party. More or less, it's just a pirate version of the DVD with maps (at least as old as 2008). I still haven't been able to confirm that the 2011 pirate DVD actually has the 2011 maps, I have it, and there are still new roads not on the dvd map.

Edit: Just noticed your in Oman, I was only speaking about the USA maps floating around Ebay.

they were already illegal to begin with. I'm pretty sure the original BMW 2011 maps are on 1 DVD not 2

Only 2008 cars use DVDs, for those who didn't know .
